We already miss our little beach house stay. The California Central Coast is just spectacular. True farm-to-table food. Local everything! This get-away is on our yearly rotation ☀️⛱️🐚

Yes, I design world-wide travel AND I’m proud to have a California-based business. Our state is one of the few states that requires me to be licensed as a seller of travel and to contribute to a retribution fund for people who have been taken advantage of by travel companies. In California, we do things right!

What’s more fun that reading the tourism information for your vacation trip? Playing weather roulette in California.

I saw you pack shorts for your San Francisco vacation. Adorable. Welcome to August, where the only thing dropping faster than your tech stocks is the temperature. Buy a fleece. 🥶

Travel does not have to be a cookie-cutter experience. Do you crave some time in nature with the scent of the redwoods? Perhaps waking up to a cup of coffee with a view like this? You’re not the only one. This is my idea of a perfect view from my perfect tent.
How about refreshing your spirit with some “me time” while the Fall weather is warm?

Worldwide Alert!

July 18, 2026 - The Department of State advises Americans worldwide to exercise increased caution.

Location: Worldwide

Event: Due to heightened tensions in the Middle East, the security environment remains complex with the potential for unforeseen escalation.
We remind Americans in the region of the continued need for caution and encourage them to monitor the news for breaking developments. The Department of State advises Americans worldwide, and especially in the Middle East, to exercise increased caution. Americans abroad should follow the guidance in security alerts issued by the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate. Flight cancellations and periodic airspace closures may cause travel disruptions. U.S. diplomatic facilities, including outside the Middle East, have been targeted. Groups supportive of Iran may target other U.S. interests overseas or locations associated with the United States and/or Americans throughout the world.
Enroll at step.state.gov to receive the latest security alerts and follow the "U.S. Department of State - Security Updates for U.S. Citizens" channel on WhatsApp or on X. When planning travel, carefully read the Travel Advisory and detailed information for your destination, and any recent alerts at travel.state.gov/destination.

I'm always happy when my travel clients add health and wellness to their travel planning list - smart people do! There are a lot of complicated lists and influencer tips but it really boils down to keeping it simple. Know yourself, your needs, get insurance, and plan ahead.https://healthy.kaiserpermanente.org/health-wellness/healtharticle.preparing-to-travel

Wellness is a term that can take on many meanings. From my perspective, as a soul-driven travel designer, it describes not only the focus of the traveler; it also describes the Mission of the location of your journey.
It’s with great joy that I learned my favorite retreat spa has taken on the ultimate purpose-driven focus for the business and land they steward. Osmosis is where I go to renew and where I love send others; the perfect place to find peace For your body and soul.

As a family with war veterans, those who never made it back from war, those who are wounded and still suffering, I have found it so very wrong to use our national Memorial Day as a sales pitch to push consumerism. So, here’s my suggestion for this year. If you own a business and can find it is your soul to make a contribution to Veterans services when a purchase is made today, post in the comments with what organization you’re funding. I will either make a purchase from you or support/tag/share your business across my social network. 🇺🇸
