✦ We welcome beginners. But we go deep.

That distinction matters to us.

You don’t need to call yourself a writer to attend a Wandering Writers Workshop. You don’t need an MFA, a finished manuscript, or a list of publications.

What you do need is curiosity and a willingness to engage seriously with the work.

Our workshops are beginner-friendly without being watered down. You’ll learn from accomplished writers who are also experienced educators, dig into craft, practice what you’re learning, ask questions, experiment, and challenge yourself.

We believe serious creative education should be accessible to people who are ready to learn, including those just beginning to think, “Maybe I’m a writer.”

What makes us different?

The answer is simple, but important:

We’re a traveling, in-person writing school for writers and the writer-curious.

Not a retreat. Not a conference. A school, just one that moves.

✦ We teach in place. Every workshop is built around a remarkable location, because where you write shapes what you write. The setting isn’t backdrop. It’s part of the curriculum.

✦ We learn from working educators. Our instructors are accomplished writers who also know how to teach. We intentionally schedule around academic calendars so we can bring in people who are both excellent writers and excellent teachers.

✦ We focus on genre and craft. Travel writing, storytelling, nature writing, and more. Each workshop is grounded in a specific genre and led by someone deeply fluent in it.

✦ We welcome beginners but we go deep. You don’t need to call yourself a writer. You do need curiosity and a willingness to engage seriously with the work.

✦ We stay analog on purpose. No Zoom rooms. No screens. Just in-person learning, conversation, writing, and exploration with a real instructor and a small group of peers.

The result is more than a creative getaway. These workshops also function as immersive professional development, meaningful networking, and a chance to connect with interesting people outside your usual world.

And we do it all in extraordinary places.

Right now, that place is Granada, Spain 🇪🇸

There is still space in Travel Stories in Granada, September 21–25, but we are very close to full, so if you’re considering it, now is the time to act.

And next?

🌵 Sedona. Spring 2027.

More on that soon.
