We are delighted to announce that British Airways (operated by Comair), is reopening regional flights to one of Southern Africa’s favourite destinations, Starting 28 March 2021.

With seven weekly flights scheduled to Zimbabwe’s sunshine city, customers will have the flexibility to travel for business or leisure any day of the week.

When travelling with British Airways (operated by Comair), customers will have a choice of Club (Business Class) and Traveller (Economy Class). Both Traveller and Club offer passengers British Airways’ full-service hospitality, which includes a selection of complimentary meals and beverages. Customers have a more spacious cabin and can check two free 23kg pieces of luggage.

The Club offering includes added benefits, such as access to the SLOW lounge, priority boarding, pre-flight welcome drinks and the additional legroom. All customers can join British Airways’ frequent flyer programme, the Executive Club, to earn benefits and rewards.

RE-INSTATEMENT OF VISA EXEMPTION
This letter serves to inform you that the Minister of Home Affairs has decided to reinstate the visa exemption status of the citizens of the following countries which was revoked at the commencement of the Covid-19 lock down:
- South Korea - Spain
- Italy
- Germany
- Hong Kong - Singapore - USA
-UK
- France
- Portugal - Iran

The visa free status of citizens of these countries was temporarily suspended at the start of the lockdown period. This means that nationals of these countries are free to visit South Africa, subject to complying with
the applicable Regulations and health protocols. Airlines may board passport holders of these countries without a visa in line with their visa exemption status before the lockdown period.

Effective measures still need to be in place to contain the spread of Covid-19. Airlines should therefore comply with the relevant COVID-19 Regulations and Directions as well as all health protocols.

Transit travellers through South Africa by air will be allowed to connect to their destinations, subject to them complying with applicable health protocols.

Airline crew will be allowed entry subject to them adhering to the industry health guidelines and international protocols.

With COVID-19 lockdown travel restrictions upheld in both Zimbabwe and South Africa, fastjet Zimbabwe will extend the suspension of our schedule flight network (both domestic and international) for a further period until Friday, 31 July 2020.

As previously shared, we remain committed to resuming flight services earlier than the revised date should there be any easing of the current restrictions on the movement of people.

Our flexible booking change policy allows confirmed bookings to be changed to future dates, with no fees or fare differences applicable. This flexible booking policy is now extended until 30 November 2020. This is our commitment to offering customers peace of mind with added flexibility in managing their future travel plans.

Our Flexible Terms and Conditions relevant to this policy are explained below for your convenience and support of all affected customers and those customers who secure new bookings during this period.

Applicable on Fastjet Zimbabwe Ltd schedule flights up to and including 30 November 2020. Hereafter our standard fare rules and Terms and Conditions of Carriage shall apply.

Unlimited changes are permitted.
No change fee will apply
No fare difference will apply.
All booking changes and travel must be completed by 30 November 2020.
Rebooking remains subject to space.
Changes apply to all passengers listed on a booking.
