You may order 100 pieces from China, but when your shipment arrives, you discover there are only 60. Naturally, your first question might be, “What happened to my goods?”
And sometimes the first person blamed is the freight forwarder.
But here is something every importer needs to understand: not all Chinese suppliers are genuine or reliable. That is a fact.
The risk when importing isn’t only receiving the wrong product. You can receive the wrong specifications, poor-quality goods, incorrect sizes — or fewer quantities than what you actually paid for.
This is why choosing and verifying your supplier is just as important as choosing the right logistics partner.
Before you ship, know who you are buying from. Verify quantities. Request evidence of what has been packed. And where possible, put quality-control measures in place before the goods leave the supplier.
