Logistics Coordinator- Southern Africa
Zambian Truck Hire Connections is a logistics brokering firm that has developed strong relationships with over hundred shippers who have the goods to transport and high quality carriers who have the capacity to move goods within Zambia and Internationally. Processing over 1000 monthly transactions, our aim is to offer quick and reliable logistics services to our customers’ .With this in mind, we are able to:
• Engage smart transport sub-contractors and ensure that they deliver in accordance with their respective Service Level Agreements
• Source Transporters/Customers throughout Zambia and negotiate prices for a win-win outcome.
• Render support in resolving challenges arising out of transportation such as vehicle breakdowns,etc
Now ZTHC requires the services of a qualified and experienced Logistics Coordinator–Southern Africa to assist us in achieving our goals.
Essential Duties:
• Develop a database of carrier and shippers for the region by winning more customers
• Meet budgeted revenue targets on a weekly/monthly basis
• Communicate with transporters and customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
• Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
• Ensure that all transporters/carrier partners have valid operational licences/certificates and necessary insurances both for the fleet and the drivers.
• Recruit and coordinate logistics staff (e.g. truck drivers) according to availabilities and requirements
• Supervise and analyse requests/orders from clients and arrange equipment to ensure they meet the needs of our clients
• Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.

• Network with other logistics professionals and firms to stay current and update management accordingly
• Prepare accurate reports for upper management on a daily basis for requests/orders executed
Qualifications/Requirements
Diploma/Degree in transport and logistics/clearing & forwarding/business administration and Supply chain Management
1-2 years’ experience in logistics & transport is definite advantage
Membership with the professional bodies such as ZCITL
Proven experience as logistics coordinator
Experience in customer service will be appreciated
Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements
Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
To succeed in this role, you must be very good at planning and organising. Someone who is self- driven, disciplined and a natural problem solver.
