Someone was asking whether it’s cheaper to do Jevic in Nakonde or in Japan. It’s cheaper to do Jevic in Nakonde. In Japan, it costs between $200–$300, while in Zambia it’s between $50–$150. Then some will say, “But vehicles can be repaired cheaply in Japan if they fail Jevic.” The truth is, they are not repaired. There have been many cases where vehicles with a passed Jevic inspection arrive as non-runners. So how do you make sure you get a good vehicle? The best option is reading the auction list and buying from reputable dealers. There’s a list of dealers that send very bad cars—you go to their site, everything looks so cheap, but people end up crying.
