After looking at how the farmers lose out in the tomato business it has come our mind that we can do something about this so that farmers are helped, it is for this reason that as coluc farmers support we want to start a tomato processing project. this is to add value to the tomato that our farmers are growing.
The following will be the Social and Economic Impacts of the project
It is anticipated that this tomato processing project will directly empower a large population of youth, men and women mostly in rural areas.
This project will provide a guaranteed market for producers and suppliers which will help to increase their disposable income and improve their standards of living. employment will be created for those involved in the distribution of processed tomato products.
The project will also contribute to the rise in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and to inflows
of foreign currency from tomato paste exports. The project will therefore have a significant
social and economic impact on the country.
