Zambia and Zimbabwe have restricted heavy freight on the Victoria Falls Bridge due to concerns about its ageing structure.

Built in 1905 for much lighter traffic, the bridge now faces increased strain from modern freight loads. Engineers warn that continued heavy use could accelerate structural fatigue and threaten its long-term stability.
