I took a bit of a breather. Saw some friends. Finished fieldwork. It was time. I needed it. There’s been a lot going on in my world (I’ll share more of that this coming week). Needed to take care of me a bit, so I can be my best for all of you. 💚

Running and running and running usually means you get nowhere in the end because you run out of gas.

I read “Succede Sempre Qualcosa di Meraviglioso” (Something wonderful is always happening) by my favorite Italian author .gotto two years ago now.

It was the first time I’d heard the phrase so plainly “Sii il fiume” (be the river). And it was a revelation. I had pushed for so many years against the current of my life. So many unnecessary struggles (with very valuable lessons). I’m not perfect, but the more in flow I get, the more joyful life becomes. That I know.

And I know it’s my work to keep myself in that state.

“Sometimes I wonder if this entire last year was just one large lesson of letting go. Of all it. Fully and completely. I often times felt like I could hold nothing. Like it was all just grasping at the sand and rocks on my Sorrentine beaches and never being able to hold any of it. It tested my faith in every way. And I let go of resistance (mostly). That’s true surrender, and it’s f**king hard…But, I think the most important thing in all of these changes and chaos this year has brought me is that I needed to remember all of it is always, always MY choice…”

This year was about integration into flow state. I would say I’m doing my best - which means good days and bad days. But, even on the bad, I still choose love. 💚
