Set to become the tourism hub for visitors ticking the “Southernmost tip of Africa” off their bucket list, Struisbaai is an easy 2 ½ hours drive from Cape Town. In prime position, at the traditional working harbour, is the newly developed Two Oceans Waterfront.
Opening on Friday 13th December, right on the beach at this iconic site, is the 600 seater “Catch Cook Restaurant & Beach Bar”. With an indoor and outdoor seating area, patrons can “chill out” with their feet in the sand and watch the local fishermen go about their daily tasks or dig in and indulge in the “eat all you can” buffet breakfast and a la carte lunches and dinners. The restaurant is Halaal friendly and although focussing on sea food, the a la carte menus will include burgers, steak, beef ribs as well as some great vegetarian options. This is an exceptional option for corporate events and year end functions.
There are a host of exciting activities on offer at the Two Oceans Waterfront, which will include high speed inflatable boat trips (departing every 45 minutes), sunset cruises, scenic eco boat trips, fishing charters, kayaks, fat bikes and a kids adventure centre with jungle gyms and a pirate ship jumping castle & slides.
There are a number of job creation initiatives available within this development. One of these will be with local tour guides. They will be given the opportunity to do walking tours to the tip of Africa as well as cycle tours. These tours will be depart from Struisbaai’s Two Oceans Waterfront daily.
