Our Story
JKT was founded by the late Jannie Kleynhans, a well-known charismatic legend in the industry who started the business with an old 1974 model Mercedes Benz Tipper truck back in 1983.
Upon joining the the company in 2001 the Kleynhans brothers Jean and Jacques (now both directors in the JKT Group) have evolved the company tremendously. What was originally known as Kleynhans Transport has transformed into JKT Group branching out into two separete entities, JKT Rocks and JKT Crushing & Civils.
With 35 years of experience JKT Rocks is fast becoming the leading supplier of services and materials such as Transportation, Demolition, On-Site Crushing, Gabion Construction, Dry Stone Wall Packing and Pitching. Materials including but not limited to Sand, Stone and Rocks and lastly but certainly not least Plant Hire JKT specialise in hydraulic rock breaking machines. Allowing customers from the Construction, Building and Landscaping sectors within the Western Cape to make use of JKT Rocks well rounded services.
JKT Rocks is proudly recognised by the Western Cape Government in our pursuit of global environmental sustainability as we recycle 100% of all building rubble.
