PUBLIC NOTICE!
Kalahari Autoforce wishes to address recent events and misinformation currently being circulated publicly and across various social platforms.
Over the past number of weeks, the company has unfortunately experienced repeated instances of unprotected strike action initiated by a small group of individuals. Previous incidents related to remuneration queries which were addressed through the appropriate internal processes and engagements.
The current incident arises from the precautionary suspension, with full pay, of an employee pending a formal disciplinary enquiry. The suspension was implemented in accordance with company procedures and applicable labour legislation due to the seriousness of the allegations involved, as well as to ensure the employee’s availability within the prescribed disciplinary timeframe.
Subsequent to this suspension, a small group of individuals encouraged fellow employees to stand down vehicles and disrupt operations in what constitutes unprotected strike action.
The company regards the conduct very seriously, particularly where actions have:
* Disrupted customer operations,
* Caused disorder at loading sites,
* Publicly misrepresented the company,
* Damaged the reputation of the business, and
* Created unnecessary instability within operations.
Kalahari Autoforce remains fully committed to lawful labour practices and will continue to address all matters strictly in accordance with the Labour Relations Act and all applicable disciplinary procedures.
It is important to note that the current disruption does not represent the position of the majority of employees, but rather that of a limited group engaging in unlawful conduct.
We urge members of the public, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders not to rely on rumours, misinformation, or emotionally charged allegations currently being circulated, many of which are factually incorrect and intentionally misleading.
