It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our founder, Mr Derick Reinhardt, on 1 June 2026.

Mr Reinhardt's vision, courage and entrepreneurial spirit laid the foundation for what Reinhardt Transport Group is today. His leadership, dedication and unwavering commitment to building the business have left a lasting legacy that continues to guide our organisation.

As we mourn this loss, we also honour and celebrate a remarkable life and the extraordinary impact he had on our people, our business and the communities we serve.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the Reinhardt family and all those who knew and loved him.

Yesterday, teams across the Reinhardt Transport Group took part in Slipper Day in support of Reach For A Dream and the incredible work they do for children facing life-threatening illnesses.

Across our depots, offices and operations, employees came together to support a cause that brings hope, courage and joy to children and their families during some of life's most difficult moments.

It was encouraging to see so many people participate, whether by purchasing a sticker, wearing their slippers, or simply helping to raise awareness for this important initiative.

Thank you to everyone who took part and to the outlets that helped make the day even more special.

Small actions, when multiplied across a Group, can make a meaningful difference.

Across the Reinhardt Transport Group, our teams recently came together for Pajama Day in support of children in foster care, collecting clothing and blankets through the generosity of employees across our depots and divisions throughout South Africa.

This week, together with our Social and Economic Development team and employees from our operations, we had the privilege of beginning the handover of these donations to organisations within the communities where we operate.

What started as a simple initiative became a reminder that meaningful impact is often created through small acts of kindness carried out collectively.

Thank you to every employee, depot and division that contributed. Your support, generosity and Gees helped turn compassion into action.
