EXCEPTIONAL NATIONAL YEARLING SALE CATALOGUE NOW ONLINE!

Bloodstock South Africa have unveiled an outstanding catalogue for South Africa’s oldest premier yearling sale, the National Yearling Sale.

Set to take place this year at the TBA Complex from April 16th to April 17th, the 2026 National Yearling Sale has attracted the cream of the crop from many of the country’s top breeders.

The first 230 lots will be sold on Thursday April16th, where trading commences at 10:00 AM sharp, with the remaining yearlings to sell on the following day, where the sale will, once again, begin at 10.

Alumni of past National Yearling Sale graduates have, once again, been dominant in feature races around the country with recent G1 winners purchased off the National Sale including Cosmic Speed (Wilgerbosdrift H F Oppenheimer Horse Chestnut Stakes), Fire Attack (HKJC World Pool Premier’s Champions Challenge), Legend Of Arthur (TAB SA Derby), Mia Moo (South African Fillies Sprint), October Morn (South African Fillies Sprint), Oriental Charm (Hollywoodbets Durban July), and Wish List (Cartier Paddock Stakes, Lucky Fish Cape Derby).

South Africa’s reigning Horse Of The Year Eight On Eighteen is another National Sale star, with the son of Lancaster Bomber knocked down for R700 000 at the 2023 National Yearling Sale.
