Government updates level 4 lockdown rules for South Africa – including schools and travel.

Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma has published an amendment to the country’s adjusted level 4 lockdown regulations, clarifying a number of key issues.

The latest gazette, published on Tuesday (29 June), states that:

Hotels, lodges, timeshare facilities, resorts, guest houses and bed-and-breakfasts are able to operate at full capacity in terms of rooms available for accommodation, subject to strict adherence to all relevant protocols and related measures.
The transportation of liquor is now permitted from manufacturing plants to storage facilities, and from any licensed premises for safe-keeping.
The changes will offer relief to some in the tourism and wine industry who were caught off guard by the immediate introduction of the adjusted level 4 lockdown on Sunday evening.

Why Visit Egypt?

The ancient culture of Egypt spread throughout the Nile river has captivated and staggered travelers for centuries. From the dusty barren desert of the Sahara to the sand-covered tombs of lost civilizations, Egypt never fails to bring out the adventurer in all of us.

Witness personally the ruins of the pinnacle of human achievements, learn the history of ancient Pharaohs and Egypt and let’s not forget about one of the wonders of the world: The Pyramids of Giza. Now, tell us why wouldn’t you want to visit Egypt?

Best Time to Visit the Land of Pharaohs

The weather in Egypt is quite pleasant between the months of October till April and is usually considered to be the best time to visit the country. But in our opinion, the over-flooding crowd and the hike in prices might ruin the experience for you. Therefore, we recommend shoulder seasons like June and September, when you can experience the best of both worlds: decent weather, fewer people, and reasonable prices.

Interesting Places to Visit in Egypt

Egypt is famous for its historical tales and monuments. From home of Pharaoh to the two seas which never meet. Egypt has proven to be full of miracles and contemplating sites. A well-known heaven for archaeology and history enthusiasts. With continuing tourism Egypt has undermined adventurous projects and relaxing spots for its tourists, few of which are mentioned below.

Pyramid of Giza and the Great Sphinx

The Pyramids of Giza, last survivor of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, are one of the world’s greatest and most recognizable landmarks. Created as tombs for the Pharaohs and shielded by the enigmatic Sphinx, the pyramid complex of Giza has awed travelers through ages and had a few conspiracy theorists and archaeologists scratching their heads on how they were built centuries ago.

Till today, these astounding memorials of dead kings are still an incredible sight as they ever were years ago. A visit to this place is an undeniable highlight of any Egyptian trip.

The Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temple
Famous for the Karnak Temple, Memorial Temple of Hatshepsut and the Valley of Kings the Nile-siding town of Luxor in Egypt is almost always swamped with tourists from all across the world. This is primeval Thebes, power house of the New Kingdom pharaohs, and houses more sights than most tourists can view in one visit. While the East Bank of the river brims with energetic souk action, the calmer West Bank is home to a myriad of temples and tombs and temples and is known as the largest open-air museum in the world.

Abu Simbel

Even in a country ornamented with temples and tombs, Abu Simbel is undeniably something special. This is the great temple of Ramses II and is adorned with huge sculptures of guards standing outside it, and with an amazing wall painted interior. Justly famed for its proportions, Abu Simbel is also well-known for the implausible feat, that witnessed the entire temple moving from its original setting during the 1960s in a considerable UNESCO operation that took almost four years to complete.

Temple of Philae, Dendera Temple Complex, White Desert, Cairo Citadel and Siwa Oasis are few other must-see places that you should visit on your trip to the land of Pharaohs.

Things to Eat in Egypt

Egypt is surely on the bucket list of most travelers. Apart from the ancient history, scuba diving, and stunning beaches, traditional Egyptian food is yet another reason you must visit this country. The rich ancient history of the country makes Egyptian cuisine what it is today. Similarly, as in several Middle Eastern countries, a significant part of the Egyptian culture is related to getting together and celebrating with friends and family around delicious food! Below is a list of scrumptious Egyptian meals that you must try on your trip:

Ful Medammes
Falafel/ Ta’meya
Koshari
Shawarma
Mahshi
Molokhia
Fattah

We hope this ultimate traveling guide to Egypt helped you significantly while planning your next trip to the land of pharaohs.

Every city has its own features, history, food, and adventure.
However, there is one place that takes the cake when it comes to the prettiest city in the world: Cape Town in South Africa.

This city is beautiful beyond belief. Besides this reason, there is a myriad of reasons why this picturesque location is considered to be the prettiest city in the world.

Love Cape Town?

Gorgeous Nature

You will find magnificent and grand table mountains at every step of the way. All you need to do to experience their majesty is look up while walking down the streets of Cape Town. It stands at 1100 meters and dominates the city horizon. It is without a sliver of doubt this city’s most celebrated landmark. It is difficult to be bored with appreciating this beauty from down below. However, if you do get bored, head up to the top and enjoy the panoramic view of the city. There are cable cars available that will take you to the top in one glide.

Rich History
You will find many historical sites related to South Africa’s civil and political movements in Cape Town. Robben Island is a place where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for eighteen years by the Dutch. During the apartheid era, it was used as a prison by the South African government to lock up anyone who opposed the governmental body. You’d be able to visit the cell where Mandela was kept for eighteen years. From outside the premises, you’d be able to see the iconic skyline.

As you return to the city, you can visit District Six, which was once Cape Town’s soul. You can get information about the trials and tribulations of this area here. Once a booming area, home to 60,000 immigrants and merchants, it is now barren land. The apartheid law forcibly removed and relocated families to the Cape Flats. It was made a white-only sector, and later all the buildings and properties were destroyed.

Adventures Galore

Adventure is at the heart and soul of this town. Thrill-seekers will be able to enjoy different activities, such as surfing, hiking, paragliding in the mountains, and cage diving with the white sharks. You can do anything and everything adventure-related in Cape Town. You will find many companies in the Birkenhead Peninsula willing to take you to view one of the largest aquatic predators in the world.

If cage diving with marine apex predators isn’t enough, then head over to Tsitsikamma National Park, where you can find many activities you can check off your bucket list. How about trying the fourth tallest bungee jumping on the planet at the Bloukrans Bridge? Or scuba diving or mountain biking? Cape Town hosts many adventurous activities that will satiate an adrenaline junkie’s appetite for a good while.

Wine and Dine

South African wines are world-famous. The Garden Route is one of those places where you could sample great wine, delicious food, and get spectacular views. There are outstanding coastal views, lush green farmlands, and blue lakes. You will have a road trip of a lifetime. This place boasts South Africa’s finest vineyards and wine-growing regions that produce delectable wines, such as Constantia, Paarl, and Stellenbosch.

If you are a foodie, Cape Town is the place for you. A short trek to the Hout Bay Market will give you the opportunity to visit a bustling farmer’s marketplace with vendors selling fresh seafood like Oysters as big as your head. Different meats are cooked on a South African barbecue and a lot of delicious fresh food. There are plenty of shops with clothes, jewelry, art, and other local artisan products sold in the market.

In Cape Town, you can see the Big 5 at the Garden Route Lodge. The Big 5 include the African elephant, the African lion, African leopard, the rhinoceros, and Cape buffalo. You’ll be made to sit at the back of the Land Rover and driven to the beautiful safari. Make sure to take your binoculars and cameras with you. Sunset safaris are lovely, so make sure to stay overnight and take advantage of the sunrise too. You can get a look at the lions and other predators active in the early hours.

Cape Town is undoubtedly the prettiest city in the world because of its landscape, unique features, thrilling activities, and the hospitality it offers its visitors.
