Hi guys.
I use this product called DIM.
Its a putty that sets to more or less the consistency of a frog. Usually use it under my pads for bar support and keeping stones and muck out... Oh and i put some 'blue stone under 'between the shoe and hoof'

I do a lot of road work with my horse and don't really like a full pad on my horse. So i used DIM as a shock absorber between the hoof and shoe. I Realy like how it seared the shoe. Oh, and drilled some holes in the shoe for it to grip but, when I took the shoe off it actually stuck to the hoof not the shoe.

Sole pressure was a worry but this stuff sets to a soft consistency which I don't mind.opinions pls?

I was called out for a bruised/short horse.
I put shoes and a pad on that provides frog presure too, but advised the client that I suspected laminitis and to get the vet to x-ray.
I was right on the money and then used the same pads and reversed the shoes to eliminate weight baring at the toe.
