Ntaba Africa DMC is issuing this update over the bank holiday weekend given significant developments in the Ebola (Bundibugyo virus) situation that may require your attention.
Uganda - Flight Suspensions and Health Screenings
The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has updated its Uganda entry requirements page to reflect the following measures announced by Uganda's National Task Force on Ebola Virus Disease on 21 May:
The temporary suspension of all flights to and from DRC to Uganda
The temporary suspension of public passenger ferries on the Semliki River between DRC and Uganda
The temporary suspension of all cultural celebrations along the DRC-Uganda border
Travellers in Uganda may encounter health screening measures including passenger locator forms on arrival and departure and temperature checks at airports. Some countries have introduced heightened screening specifically for travellers arriving from Uganda. Members should check entry requirements for all onward destinations their clients are travelling to or transiting.
