Why it is important to choose a permitted, legal

Safe vehicles: All vehicles undergo safety and meter inspections. These inspections ensure that your vehicle is road safe and that the meter is calibrated to the correct fare.
Trustworthy drivers: All Rikkis Taxis drivers are required to take extensive training, including street navigation, and are subject to background checks.
Insured operators: When you hire a Rikki's Taxis, you have proper legal recourse should the need arise.
Book a taxi (electronically, via phone or SMS or Whattsupp) in preference to hailing one. A record is kept by Rikki's Taxis of all bookings made.
Don’t get into a taxi if the driver makes you feel uncomfortable. You are within your rights to select another taxi.
Take note of the taxi company and fleet number (displayed on the inside front windscreen or the left and right fender guards.
If you hail Rikki's Taxis, driver ask your details of your trip and record with controle room.
You are entitled to specify the route you wish to take to reach your destination. Speak up if the driver takes a different route to the one you have specified or are familiar with.
