Earth Logistics ...revolving around you EARTH Logistics started in 2007, we are a small vibrant team, with a wealth of experience in all facets of Logistics.

We started off as a South African distribution company based at all 4 major airports of South Africa, however it soon became evident that the challenges we sought, lay in a wider scope of services, including international freight forwarding. We now service every corner of the globe, and our relationships with partners, customers, suppliers and each other, are maintained and developed because we are professional, courteous and direct.

🚢 PORT OF DURBAN UPDATE

Severe operational delays are currently being experienced at the Port of Durban, with the recently implemented port operating system facing significant challenges.

While vessel operations continue on the waterside, landside operations are under increasing pressure. Transporters are struggling to secure bookings to access congested container stacks, creating a growing bottleneck and making cargo collection increasingly difficult.

There are also reports of challenges locating specific containers within the stacks.

Our concern is that the backlog may continue to build before conditions improve, with the potential for further congestion and gridlock.

At EARTH Logistics, we are actively monitoring the situation and working closely with our transport partners to minimise disruption wherever possible. However, clients should anticipate delays to cargo collection and delivery while these constraints remain in place.

We will continue to keep our clients informed and communicate any specific impact on shipments as soon as reliable information becomes available.
