Victory After Long Suffering
Through valleys deep, where shadows lie,
I've walked a path beneath the sky.
Each step a struggle, each breath a fight,
In the dark, I searched for light.
The nights were long, the days were gray,
Hope seemed but a dream away.
Yet in my heart, a fire burned,
For freedom, for peace, I yearned.
With every fall, with every scar,
I learned to reach beyond the far.
To rise again, to stand once more,
To open up a new life's door.
And then, the dawn, it broke at last,
The chains of suffering, now past.
A victory, though hard-earned and long,
A melody of triumph's song.
The taste of freedom, sweet and clear,
After the storm, the sky appears.
This victory, not just for me,
But for all who sought to be free.
So here I stand, with head held high,
Beneath the vast and open sky.
A testament to those who've strived,
To those who've loved, to those who've survived.
For every battle, there's a dawn,
Where all the suffering is gone.
And in this victory, we see,
The beauty of resilience, free
