Recently we blessed Boloko 2, the newest addition to the Pescaluna fleet 🤍⚓

Purpose-built as a longline vessel, Boloko 2 was designed with care — with our Captain & CEO, Gastao Fernandes, closely involved in the layout and build from start to finish. She will begin her journey as a fresh-only vessel, with the capability to freeze at sea, locking in freshness and allowing for longer, more efficient trips in the future.

Longline fishing is a selective and low-impact method, targeting specific species while reducing bycatch — a way of fishing that respects both the ocean and the future of our fisheries.

The blessing of a vessel is a long-held maritime tradition — a moment to ask for protection, safe returns, and a prosperous journey for all who work at sea.
