E-hailing in South Africa has huge problems. Here are JUST a few:

The e-hailing industry relies heavily on scale over accountability.
It’s a highly competitive market, and drivers compete to take routes and take on customers, creating more pressure in an already pressured environment.
There are cases where drivers admit they cannot afford to update their car to ensure it is roadworthy, and so will pay a bribe to have the car signed off as ‘good to go.’
This is incredibly dangerous.
