Step aboard and back in time ✈️

Last weekend, the SAA Museum hosted a special simulated flight experience aboard the iconic DC-4, giving guests a taste of classic air travel. From the cabin atmosphere to the sounds and storytelling, the event brought aviation history to life right here at Rand Airport.

A memorable gathering celebrating heritage, passion, and the aircraft that helped shape South African aviation, keeping the spirit of vintage flight alive for a new generation ☁️

From Alpha to Zulu, aviation has its own language and at Rand Airport, it’s a language shared by an entire community. ✈️

Businesses, pilots, engineers, instructors, and aviation lovers across the airport each came together to represent a letter of the phonetic alphabet, a small reminder of how communication, learning, and collaboration keep aviation moving forward!

Because airports aren’t just about aircraft. They’re about the people who learn, teach, and grow together every day🩵

Today we celebrate not only the incredible leader of our fire department, but one of the kindest people on Rand Airport. Jody is always willing to go above and beyond for anyone in need, leading with humility, dedication, and heart.

Festive fly-bys of a different kind 🎄❤️

Rand Airport Management spent yesterday visiting each hangar to hand out a little Christmas thank you. With Santa Jody leading the way in our decorated fire truck, it was impossible not to feel the holiday spirit.
