I'm thrilled to announce my role as a member of the Western Cape Provincial Leadership and Regional Organizer for the Cape Winelands, for Rise Mzansi!
My focus is on empowering youth, ensuring inclusive education for learners with special needs, enhancing safety on our streets, and eradicating poverty, hunger and crime.
It is also crucial for me to address the criminal activities that the Western Cape Municipalities are practicing. One of them include deducting water bills when purchasing electricity and unfair utility practices, such as only receiving 2 unit for R50 worth of electricity. No consent from citizens was given for such unlawful practices by the municipality.
These practices leave our elderly citizens and sick chronic patients to skip their medications, and infants unable to drink their formula when water are being shed by the municipal. Such actions constitute a violation of our human rights, which is, in turn, a violation of our constitutional rights.
With a Rise Mzansi led government, we'll fight against such injustices and work to create a society where everyone is truly free and equal.
We are not free and equal until our most vulnerable are free from poverty, hunger and crime.
