“Should I go with Air Freight or LCL shipping?”
The answer? It depends on your priorities – speed, cost, volume, or destination. Let’s break it down 👇

✈️ AIR FREIGHT – When Time Is Money
✅ PROS:
✅ Speed: Transit time is measured in days, not weeks.
✅ Reliability: Fixed flight schedules mean fewer delays.
✅ Security: Lower risk of damage or theft due to tighter handling.
❌ CONS:
❌ Cost: Much more expensive per kg/CBM than ocean freight, but still cheaper than courier/parcel express.
❌ Size Limitations: Not suitable for bulky or oversized cargo.

🚨 Customs Code Migration Alert 🚨

If you registered your import/export code before April 2020 and haven't updated it, your registration is still on SARS' old system and must be migrated to the RLA platform ASAP.

✅ Already on RLA? Your customs number starts with “CU” — no action needed.

❌ Not migrated? SARS has started suspending old codes (as of April 2025), meaning you can’t clear goods or use trade agreements (like SADC or EUR.1) until you update.

📌 Tip: Check your certificate — CU = good to go!
