Initially scheduled as a short task, the operation extended into multiple days, demonstrating OMS’s flexibility and commitment.

Offshore heavy-load specialists

At Offshore Maritime Services, our fleet is fully equipped to safely transport, handle, and deliver heavy loads to ships passing the Cape. Our specialised equipment includes powerful hydraulic cranes, spacious deck areas, and efficient cargo-handling gear, enabling us to reliably manage OPL operations and transportation tasks for loads of up to 62 tonnes.

Typical cargo includes oversized spare parts, heavy machinery, subsea equipment, diving gear, hull repair materials, and critical operational supplies. These regularly include three months’ stores and provisions, along with bulk loads of l**e oils (drums and IBCs), paint supplies, and other essentials. Crew changes are conducted simultaneously.

Operated as a Marshall Islands-flagged 300,000 DWT tanker built in 2020, with a length overall (LOA) of 336 m and beam of 60 m, GUSTAVIA S embodies scale and maritime elegance.

On a beautiful balmy winter's night, our utility vessel ensured safe crew transfers and delivered essential supplies with unwavering commitment to safety, timing, and logistical excellence.

Another seamless Off Port Limits (OPL) operation successfully completed by Offshore Maritime Services!

This week, it was a pleasure to undertake Off Port Limits crew transfers and supply deliveries using our high-performance utility vessel, the OMS Defiant, servicing the recently delivered VLCC, Arzanah.

The Arzanah is one of ADNOC Logistics & Services’ latest fleet additions—a Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) with a substantial cargo capacity of approximately 318,000 cubic metres of crude oil. Equipped with an advanced LNG dual-fuel engine, the Arzanah significantly reduces carbon emissions, making her one of the most environmentally efficient tankers in operation today.

OMS proudly supported this impressive vessel off Cape Town, ensuring seamless crew transfers and safe delivery of essential supplies, highlighting our capability in precision offshore operations.
