The Amazon rainforest is the largest tropical rainforest on Earth, home to around 10% of the world’s known biodiversity.

It is one of the few places where you can still experience ecosystems that remain largely untouched and incredibly diverse. A journey aboard the Aqua Nera offers direct access to this environment via the Peruvian Amazon.

Small-group excursions take you into remote tributaries where you can observe wildlife such as pink river dolphins, monkeys, sloths, and hundreds of bird species.
The Aqua Nera offers a unique and memorable way to experience one of the world’s most remarkable natural environments! Aqua Expeditions

We are excited to have a new offering in Uganda with the upcoming opening of Erebero Hills from Asilia Africa!

Set on the northern edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the lodge is defined by its distinctive design, with eight suites positioned to take in the sweeping forest views.

As construction progresses, we are beginning to see it take shape, a striking architectural vision set within one of Uganda’s most remarkable natural settings!

Opening later this year! Asilia Africa

In one of the harshest places on earth, survival is a journey.

Elusive, resilient, and often misunderstood, the brown hyena is one of Africa’s rarest large carnivores. Found along Namibia’s remote Skeleton Coast, these animals have adapted to survive in one of the driest environments on earth.
Unlike their spotted cousins, brown hyenas are primarily scavengers, relying on everything from seal carcasses along the coastline to the smallest scraps found deep inland.

What makes them truly remarkable is their movement, they can travel up to 50 km in a single night, walking from their inland territories to the ocean in search of food, before returning again by dawn.

Despite their rugged lives, brown hyenas are highly social, living in small clans with complex hierarchies and strong family bonds.

At Wilderness Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp, researcher Emsie Verwey has spent years following these elusive brown hyena movements, using camera traps and field tracking to uncover the lives of one of Africa’s least understood predators, while helping to close critical knowledge gaps and support conservation across the region.

A new chapter begins as Singita opens their first lodge in Botswana, bringing its signature approach to one of Africa’s most extraordinary ecosystems.

Set within the Okavango Delta, Singita Elela will be shaped by this remarkable environment, a place defined by water, movement and life.

While still to be revealed in full, there’s little doubt it will be something truly special and unique to Singita.

We are incredibly excited to see Singita Elela come to life when it opens in December 2026!

Celebrating 100 years of Londolozi!

Londolozi Game Reserve, established in 1926 in the Sabi Sand Reserve in South Africa, is truly one of a kind, iconic for it’s incredible leopard viewing and a deeply entrenched commitment to conservation and community.

With a long and meaningful history of partnership between Anderson Expeditions and Londolozi, it remains one of our timeless favourites. Our guests choose to return to this special corner of the greater Kruger Park time and again, drawn by its spirit, its people, and its extraordinary wildlife.

We have travelled a long journey with our friends at Londolozi and for those relationships and shared experiences we are deeply grateful.

A century later, the magic endures, a big congratulations from the AE team to Londolozi on an extraordinary 100 years in the wild!

As the sun rose over Damaraland, the AE team of Rich, San, and Hayley set out on foot along a dry riverbed in search of Black Rhino.

Guided by their experienced tracker Obed, they followed subtle signs through the rugged terrain, tracks, broken branches, and movement across the landscape.
One of the world’s last free-roaming populations of Black Rhino move through this dramatic terrain and at the heart of this experience lies a powerful conservation story.

Save the Rhino Trust, in partnership with local communities and conservancies, has spent over two decades protecting these desert-adapted rhinos. This 21-year collaboration has helped grow the population while reducing poaching levels by an extraordinary 80%.

This is a reminder of what is still possible when conservation, community, and commitment come together to safeguard one of the planet’s most iconic and endangered species.
