Wellโ€ฆ here we are again - another edition, another excuse to spend far too much time talking about cars, adventures, businesses, batteries, and everything in between. And honestly? We wouldnโ€™t have it any other way.
๐„๐๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐€๐“๐Œ ๐‚๐š๐ฉ๐ž ๐ก๐š๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ข๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐๐ž๐, and itโ€™s jam-packed with all the things youโ€™ve come to enjoy over the past 3 years. Whether youโ€™re into association updates, off-road adventures with the Jeep Club, logistics insights, industry news, or simply enjoy Steve Reederโ€™s uniquely entertaining ability to make something as ordinary as a humble car battery sound fascinating, thereโ€™s genuinely something in this edition for everyone.

Our relaunch in the previous edition certainly kept us on our toes. Like any good automotive project, there were a few unexpected rattles, a couple warning lights, and maybe one or two moments where we questioned our life choices - but thankfully, weโ€™ve ironed out the glitches and things are now running smoother than a freshly serviced V8 on an open road.

One of the biggest goals behind ATM Cape has always been to showcase the incredible automotive and automotive-related businesses throughout the Western Cape. Over the last few months, through countless meetings, conversations, coffees, events, and feedback from both readers and clients, one thing became very clear: businesses are looking for advertising opportunities that are effective, professional, and more budget-friendly. So, after plenty of discussion (and probably too much coffee), weโ€™ve decided to reduce our advertising pricing for the remainder of 2026.
The aim is simple - to create more opportunities for businesses, both big and small, to showcase their brands, products, and services through ATM Cape.
At the heart of it all, ATM Cape remains a FREE publication, both online and in print. That means every edition you enjoy is made possible by the loyal advertisers who continue to support the magazine and believe in what weโ€™re building. Their support doesnโ€™t just keep pages turning - it helps grow a community that celebrates the Western Cape automotive industry in all its forms.
Of course, running both a printed and online publication comes with its fair share of challenges. Printing costs go up, distribution costs go up, fuel goes upโ€ฆ and somehow coffee keeps going up too. But despite all of that, our focus remains exactly the same: creating an accessible platform where businesses can connect with readers, enthusiasts, and the wider automotive community without needing a Formula 1 sized marketing budget.

As we move deeper into our third year, one thing continues to amaze me - the sheer size and interconnected nature of the automotive industry in the Western Cape. Before starting the magazine, I knew the industry was big. What I didnโ€™t realise was just how much talent, innovation, passion, dedication, and good old-fashioned hard work existed across every corner of it. From workshops and fitment centres to logistics companies, clubs, events, restorers, suppliers, and service providers, the level of commitment to quality and service is genuinely inspiring. Yes, every industry has a few rough edges, but overall, the Western Cape automotive scene continues to prove that it stands strong together, supports one another, and gets the job done properly.
And thatโ€™s exactly the spirit we hope to continue capturing in every edition of ATM Cape.
Until next timeโ€ฆ drive safe, support local, and keep the wheels turning.
