URGENT APPEAL TO PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS

Riding on the outside of a moving bus is extremely dangerous and can have devastating consequences. What may seem like a harmless thrill can end in serious injury or the loss of a young life.

We urge parents and caregivers to speak to their children about the very real dangers of this behaviour. Please help us ensure that they understand the risks and recognise that no joyride is worth their life.

One moment of recklessness can change a life forever. Please help us keep our children safe.

Important Route Diversions for the Nelson Mandela Marathon

Please be advised that the Nelson Mandela Marathon will take place on Sunday, 18 October 2026, resulting in road closures and temporary changes to bus operations affecting the Golden Acre Terminus and surrounding areas.

GABS PROTECTS AFFORDABILITY WITH LIMITED FARE ADJUSTMENT

Golden Arrow Bus Services will increase selected cash fares by an average of 4.5% from 28 September 2026, while Gold Card multi-journey tickets remain unchanged and most peak cash fares are protected from increases.

The fare adjustment will apply primarily to off-peak cash fares, with increases only affecting selected peak cash fares. There will be no increase to any Gold Card multi-journey tickets, ensuring that passengers who purchase their rides up front continue to pay the same fares.

Unfortunately it seems as if the public is still being misled and are showing up at our kiosks to collect their free tickets. We are following up from our side. Please take a moment of your time to read the post below.

Golden Arrow Bus Services (Pty) Ltd (GABS) is aware of messages claiming that the public can obtain free Golden Arrow tickets/vouchers through certain third-party processes including completing tasks, courses, surveys, sharing contact details or “purchasing vouchers using codes".

Please note that these claims are false. GABS is not issuing free tickets or vouchers through these channels.

Do not click on suspicious links, share personal information, or make any payments in response to these posts.

For legitimate GABS information, please use only our official communication channels.
