STACKS South Africa – We love project cargo.

Recently our project team performed an unpack of project cargo arriving in multiple 40’ Open Tops, imported to Cape Town for a new sports installation.

Each element of the cargo had to be handled with specialised ropes and slings to ensure a safe and successful unpack.

STACKS South Africa - International Public Art Festival 2021.

We love being part of our clients' journeys and were excited to join Baz-Art in Salt River for an amazing and interactive street art experience. We were immersed in massive public art creations that were focused on the principles of Economic, Social, and Environmental Sustainability.

Through this year's IPAF theme of "100% Sustainable", the artists examined how to answer the needs of today without compromising the world our future generations will inherit. We are proud to have played a small part in this amazing initiative, by handling the imports of the art machinery and supplies from Europe.

STACKS South Africa – Spreading the love for Valentine’s Day.

On Friday, we celebrated valentine’s day by supporting the Ladles of Love Sandwich Drive.

Ladles of Love’s Sandwich Drive started as a small-scale, door-to-door operation in Cape Town that exploded into a hugely successful campaign with over 3 million sandwiches distributed into the community since the start of lockdown in 2020. These simple sandwiches have become a lifeline for beneficiaries serving the community and, Ladles of Love now distributes more than 150 000 sandwiches monthly.
“One small gesture can change someone’s world. Let’s make it happen.”

We were excited to have a small part in this incredible initiative.

STACKS Announcement – South Africa Agent for Universal Africa Lines (UAL) BV.

We are excited to partner with the global shipping line, that has been servicing West Africa, Europe, and America since 1973!

Universal Africa Lines recently expanded their services to East Africa and now offers a direct service from northwest Europe to Mozambique, Tanzania, and Kenya, bringing their proven service to this emerging market. Sailings will be performed by UAL’s modern box-shaped HL geared fleet that can load and discharge cargo using their own gear. Breakbulk, bulk, project cargo, heavy lift, and containers can be accepted. This new Trade lane will offer Import and Export sea-freight opportunities to the South African shipping community to and from Europe, East, and West Africa.

STACKS South Africa – Season’s Greetings

Last week Tuesday, we set sail for our year-end function in the beautiful Cape Town. We enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine and even spotted some dolphins.

Our team used this time to reflect on 2020, and the theme was gratitude. We are grateful to everyone who supported us in 2020!

We wish you all a safe and happy festive season and a wonderful new year.

STACKS Ghana – Successfully transported Compactors inter-Africa.

It was a great collaboration between the STACKS Ghana team and international freight forwarder Centrimex
The equipment was used in the Tema Port Expansion and was escorted back to Togo by our STACKS vehicle.

We are looking forward to further connecting Africa with more of these projects.

STACKS South Africa – Crating and Shipping of Caterpillar parts and equipment.

Last week we managed the transport and shipping of Caterpillar parts and equipment to a mine in Burkina Faso.

The pad foot rollers of the machine were crated and along with the Caterpillar shipped by RORO ensuring a successful journey to the mine.
