From Mitchell’s Plain to Khayelitsha.

Following our recent Health & Wellness Activation in Mitchell’s Plain, the initiative continues tomorrow at CODETA - Site C, Khayelitsha.

Through health screenings, mental health support, health education and referrals, alcohol awareness and voluntary breathalyser screenings, the activation brings important health and wellness services closer to the minibus taxi industry and its communities.

Strengthening capacity through partnership and technology.

SANTACO Western Cape, in partnership with Old Mutual South Africa, recently handed over sponsored digital devices to MBTI Regional Training Officers across the province.

The devices will support Training Officers in carrying out their daily responsibilities more effectively, while strengthening the coordination of training and skills development initiatives within the minibus taxi industry.

We extend our appreciation to Old Mutual South Africa for its contribution towards capacity building and the industry’s broader transformation journey.

It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of our dear friend and leader, Mr Jay Jay Maans of the Two Oceans Region.

Mr Maans played an integral role in laying the foundation for a more unified and safer future for the minibus taxi industry. We will continue to honour his legacy and his work in changing lives.

Our sincerest condolences go out to the Maans family. We offer our support to those grieving in this difficult time.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
