Hardly a common sight, the Bateleur Eagle is on the red list of endangered birds. Its name comes from French and means 'acrobat'. While we were very lucky to have seen it in the Kgalagadi, it didn't show its flying skills off to us.

Hippos are like carbon-based submersible amphibious vehicles!
