As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated SHEQ Officer to join our dynamic team.
As a SHEQ Officer, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining our SHEQ management systems. Your expertise will ensure compliance with legal and corporate requirements, driving continuous improvement in our operations.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ policies, procedures, and programs.
Conduct regular SHEQ audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.
Provide SHEQ training and awareness to all employees.
Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with all relevant SHEQ legislation, regulations, and standards.
Collaborate with management and staff to foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Perform depot safety visits and internal SHEQ audits
Provide EXCO with monthly SHEQ figures
Prepare for all RTMS and SQAS external audits
Perform independant internal RTMS and SQAS quarterly audits
Qualifications
A diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in SHEQ management (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
Traits
Experience in SHEQ roles within the bulk transport or related industries.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in SHEQ management systems and compliance requirements.
