Meet Mike — owner of Vacationland Moving
Five years ago, Mike made the decision to leave the fast-paced world of owning a moving company in NYC & NJ and move back home to beautiful Vacationland. What started as a return to his roots in quickly turned into a whole new way of life.
After years of navigating busy city streets, apartment walk-ups, tight schedules, and the nonstop hustle of the New York and New Jersey moving industry, Mike was ready for something different. He came back to Maine to build a business, reconnect with home, and create a life with a little more balance.
What he didn’t expect? Falling completely in love with rural Maine life… and even owning a farm.
Today, Mike spends his days helping move families and businesses throughout Maine and across the country combining big-city moving experience with the kind of personal service and care you only find in a small-town Maine business. Whether it’s helping locals move down the road, welcoming new families relocating to Maine, or coordinating long-distance moves nationwide, Vacationland Moving was built on hard work, reliability, and treating customers like family.
“There’s just something about Maine”. Mike says. “I came back thinking I was starting over, but really I was coming home. I’d never thought I’d love farm life as much as I do now, but here I am and I’m grateful for it everyday.”
From NYC & NJ hustle to Maine farm life, Mike built Vacationland Moving with one goal in mind: helping people start their next chapter…wherever life is taking them.
