Starting May 19, 2026, Delta Air Lines will eliminate free snacks and drinks in the Main Cabin and Comfort+ on flights under 350 miles, affecting around 450 daily flights. This cost-cutting move, driven by high fuel prices, impacts short routes like Los Angeles to San Francisco, while First Class remains exempt.

✈️ UPDATE: Here’s what United Airlines is actually doing…

With Spirit Airlines shutting down, United is stepping in to help in a few key ways:

✔️ Offering discounted “rescue fares” for stranded passengers
✔️ Helping travelers get to their destinations with limited emergency options
✔️ Opening the door for impacted employees to apply for positions

This isn’t a full “rescue program” like some posts are saying…but it is a real effort to support travelers and create opportunity during a major industry shift.

✈️ One thing remains the same: Travel isn’t stopping. It’s adjusting.

Smooches!💋💜

🚨 Airline Shutdown… but let’s be real 🚨
One airline may shut down… but the travel industry isn’t going anywhere ✈️ People will always travel. That means the opportunity never stops…only shifts. This is why I stay positioned with multiple streams 💰 It’s not about what’s happening…it’s about how you move when it does. Happy Saturday 💜

Drop “TRAVEL” if you want in on the shift 👀

⚠️ Temporary Closures: Beginning Wednesday, March 18, TSA will temporarily close the Terminal A-West, Terminal C, and Terminal F security checkpoints to help optimize operations across other checkpoints.

What you should know before you arrive 👇

🕗 TSA Operating Hours:
Terminal A-East: 4:15 AM – 10:15 PM(PreCheck will close at 6:30)
Terminal B: 3:30 AM – 9:30 PM
Terminal D/E: 3:00 AM – 10:30 PM

🔵 Can I still access Terminals A-West, C, and F?
Yes. All terminals remain connected past security. You can access any gate from any open checkpoint.

🔵 Where should I go instead?
Flying from A-West? Use the A-East checkpoint.
Flying from C? Use the B Checkpoint.
Flying from Terminal F? Use the D/E checkpoint.

🔵 Will the A-East checkpoint be open at night? Yes. Terminal A-East will remain open until 10:15 PM to accommodate international travelers.

🔵 Is help available if I get lost?
Yes. PHL staff will be on-site to guide travelers to the nearest open checkpoint.

🔵 Does this impact shuttle service?
No. The free American Airlines shuttle will continue running as usual, connecting A-West, A-East, B, C, and F.

We recommend travelers arrive 2.5 hours early for domestic flights and 3.5 hours early for international flights.

You can find live TSA wait times and TSA Checkpoint hours at: phl.org

We appreciate your patience as we work with TSA and our airline partners to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently for all travelers.

The Trump Administration has no higher priority than the safety and security of Americans worldwide. Here is a summary of our Middle East security updates as of March 4, 9pm EST. Americans trying to get home from Bahrain, Israel, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, or Qatar: complete this form to request that we contact you with info on U.S. government-facilitated departure options as they become available: http://mytravel.state.gov/s/crisis-intake. For the latest security and departure updates visit http://travel.state.gov/destination, and enroll to receive alerts directly at http://step.state.gov. Americans who need consular help can call the 24/7 State Department task force: +1-202-501-4444 (from abroad) and +1-888-407-4747 (from the U.S. and Canada).

05/03/2026

If you are a U.S. citizen in the listed countries and commercial flights are still operating, the State Department strongly recommends booking a regular airline ticket and leaving while flights are available.

Why they issue this guidance:
• Airspace can close suddenly.
• Airlines can cancel routes without notice.
• Conflicts can escalate quickly.
• Once airports shut down, leaving becomes much harder.

“Commercial means” refers to normal airline travel such as Emirates, Etihad, Qatar Airways, Delta, or any standard ticket you purchase yourself.

It does NOT refer to charter planes, military extraction, or embassy-organized evacuation flights (unless announced separately later).

If you cannot afford a ticket, have lost your passport, or have no travel options, you can contact the U.S. State Department for assistance:

From overseas: +1-202-501-4444
From the U.S. & Canada: 1-888-407-4747

They may assist with emergency documentation or coordination.

For those in the UAE specifically:
• The UAE remains politically stable.
• It is not directly at war.
• It has strong defense systems.
• Commercial flights are operating normally.

A “Depart Now” advisory during regional conflict is often precautionary. It does not automatically mean immediate danger in Dubai.

Strategically:
If flights are open and you feel uneasy, leaving earlier is easier than leaving later. If airports remain open and there are no direct strikes locally, it becomes a personal risk assessment decision.

🗣️Please share this to get the word out to Americans looking to get home.
