Our Story
Topas Riverside Lodge is a boutique homestay situated in the wild jungles of Hoang Lien National Park, connected to Nam Cang Village by a wooden suspension bridge across a busting river. The property’s highlights include cultural engagement with 5 different ethnic minority communities and local cuisine prepared by a Danish chef with help from the Red Dzao hosts who we work with to deliver these services.
The sister property to Topas Ecolodge, Topas Riverside Lodge focuses more on cultural encounters, wellness retreats, and nature exploration, perfect for rejuvenating the body, mind, and spirit after a hectic week in the city.
The lodge was built in 2013 by its owners, a Red Dzao family, and operates in partnership with Topas Travel Vietnam. Topas Riverside Lodge’s appeal lies in its simplicity yet proximity to wild nature and many diverse ethnic minority communities, enabling guests to have an authentic village experience.
Here, you can discover the real and remote Vietnam beyond the well-trodden tourist paths of Sapa and witness the friendliness and warm hospitality of the local minority people, who may even welcome you into their private homes. As you watch children splash in the river right next to your lodge, you will have a taste of life in the mountains as it has gone on for centuries.
