May and June bring one of Central Vietnam’s most beautiful gifts, endless blooming lotus fields glowing beneath the sacred mountain of Trà Lý, just 50 minutes by motorbike from Hội An.

The perfect journey begins at 4AM, leaving from Hội An or Đà Nẵng. By the time you arrive, the first light of sunrise gently touches the fields, and the lotus flowers open at their most beautiful moment. Bees begin collecting nectar, farmers start harvesting lotus blossoms, and the entire landscape feels peaceful, authentic, and deeply Vietnamese.

The soft morning light, cool air, and perfect temperature create the dreamiest atmosphere for photos and for simply enjoying the calmness of nature. Around 7AM, it’s time to ride back to Hội An before the heat and humidity of the day arrive.

A slow morning. A sacred mountain. A sea of lotus flowers. Vietnam at its finest.
