D**g Thap: Reimagining Tram Chim – The "Sarus Crane" Urban Vision
T&T Group, in strategic partnership with D**g Thap province, is spearheading a comprehensive master plan for the Tram Chim area (formerly Tam Nong district). This initiative stands as one of the eight pivotal projects driven by the Group to transform the local economic and ecological landscape.
1. Scope and Scale of Research
The project is designed with a multi-layered approach to ensure harmony between urban development and environmental preservation:
• Core Planning Area: Approximately 3,805 hectares, encompassing the entirety of Tram Chim Town and strategic segments of Phu Cuong, Tan Cong Sinh, and Phu Tho communes.
• Extended Influence Zone: A broader research scope covering over 14,400 hectares, which integrates the Tram Chim National Park and its essential surrounding buffer zones.
2. Design Philosophy: "Biosphere Pearl – The Floating City"
Collaborating with international consultants EAI (France), T&T Group proposes a visionary ecological urban model with a 2035 horizon:
• The Sarus Crane Inspiration: The architectural soul of the plan is modeled after the elegant silhouette of the Sarus Crane—the iconic symbol of D**g Thap’s natural heritage.
• A Five-Zone Structure:
1. Ramsar Promotion Zone: Dedicated to showcasing the global value of the wetland ecosystem.
2. Ramsar Buffer Zone: A transition space focused on conservation and low-impact activities.
3. Tram Chim Urban Center: Rejuvenating the existing heart of the town.
4. Agri-Urban & Service Clusters: Integrating modern living with traditional agriculture.
5. Eco-Tourism Hub: Creating high-end, nature-based hospitality experiences.
3. Strategic Objectives
• Sustainable Harmony: Balancing the strict conservation of the unique wetland ecosystem with the dynamic growth of the tourism economy.
• Climate-Resilient Green Urbanism: Developing a "Green City" that thrives on the water-based identity of the D**g Thap Muoi region while adapting to climate change.
• Global Connectivity: Elevating Tram Chim into an international eco-tourism destination, serving as the primary economic engine for the northern district of D**g Thap province.
