TONIGHT, VIETNAM GLOWS A LITTLE BRIGHTER ๐ฎ๐
Tonight is Mid-Autumn Festival in Vietnam.
And as the moon rises, streets across the country begin to feel a little different.
Lanterns glow above the streets.
Children carry colourful lights.
Families gather together.
And the evening becomes a little more magical.
๐ฎ FOLLOW THE LANTERNS
Walk through a local neighbourhood and you'll find children carrying star-shaped lanterns, colourful decorations and traditional lights.
In places like Hoi An, the lanterns create an especially beautiful atmosphere as they glow along the streets and reflect on the river.
๐ฅฎ DON'T FORGET THE MOONCAKES
Mid-Autumn Festival wouldn't be complete without mooncakes.
Lotus seed.
Mung bean.
Salted egg yolk.
And many modern flavours too.
They are traditionally shared with family, friends and loved ones as part of the celebration.
๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ A FESTIVAL ABOUT TOGETHERNESS
Perhaps the most beautiful part of Trung Thu isn't the decorations.
It's the people.
Families spending time together.
Children excited about their lanterns.
Neighbours sharing food.
And communities coming together after sunset.
โจ EXPERIENCE VIETNAM AFTER DARK
If you're travelling in Vietnam tonight, don't just stay inside your hotel.
Step outside.
Visit a local market.
Walk through the old streets.
Look for lanterns.
Try a mooncake.
And simply watch how the evening unfolds.
Because sometimes, the best way to experience a culture isn't from a guidebook.
It's by being there when the streets come alive.
Happy Mid-Autumn Festival from Vietnam! ๐๐ฎ
