After busy days at work, our team enjoyed a refreshing trip to Hon Dau resort
, where we relaxed, breathed in the fresh air, and captured many wonderful memories together.

The day continued with a delicious fresh seafood feast, giving everyone the opportunity to gather around, enjoy great food, chat, and share everyday stories.

Although the trip was short, it was filled with laughter, positive energy, and unforgettable moments. More importantly, it strengthened our team spirit and prepared us for the exciting journey ahead.

🚢 Effective from June 1, 2026, Customs Sub-Department Region III (Hai Phong) has become the first customs authority in Vietnam to pilot a centralized customs clearance model, under which all customs dossiers are received and processed centrally by the Customs Clearance Team instead of being handled separately at each border gate unit as before.

🇻🇳 After only a few days of implementation, the centralized clearance model has already demonstrated certain advantages in cargo classification and document processing efficiency. At the same time, this new approach also brings challenges for both businesses and the customs administration.

🛳🚛🛩 If the IT system operates smoothly and the processing team possesses sufficient expertise, the centralized customs clearance model in Hai Phong could become the most significant customs reform in Vietnam over the past decade, following the “Centralized Customs Clearance” trend that has been adopted in many countries. Hai Phong is a logical choice for the pilot program, as it is the leading logistics hub in Northern Vietnam in terms of cargo volume, number of enterprises, and level of digitalization.

🚢 What does it mean when a container is rolled?

When a shipper is informed by a shipping line that a container has been rolled, it means the container has not been loaded onto the scheduled vessel and must wait for the next vessel. ⏳

⚙️ Causes of roll-on/roll-off:

🔹 Excessive pre-orders (some pre-orders must wait for another voyage).
🔹 The vessel fails to arrive at the port as planned.
🔹 Vessel loading capacity.
🔹 Technical issues.
🔹 Customs clearance issues.
💡 … and other operational factors.

📦 What should we do if our cargo is rolled?

✅ Immediately inform supply chain partners.
✅ Reschedule the earliest possible voyage and correct documentation as soon as possible.
✅ Identify the reason for the roll-on/roll-off and implement appropriate solutions.
