📌 NOTES FOR FOREIGNERS ENTERING VIETNAM

To ensure smooth entry into Vietnam in accordance with Vietnamese law, foreign nationals are advised to pay attention to the following:

🔹 Prepare all required entry documents

* Your passport or valid international travel document must still be valid.
* You must have a valid visa, visa exemption certificate, or legal residence document in accordance with Vietnamese regulations.
* Carefully check your personal details, visa validity, and the stated purpose of entry on your visa or related documents.

🔹 Provide truthful and accurate declarations

* Complete all required declarations as instructed by the authorities and your transport provider.
* Information declared must match the details shown on your passport, visa, and related documents.
* The use of fake documents, false declarations, or entering Vietnam under an incorrect purpose is strictly prohibited.
* Foreign nationals may proactively complete pre-arrival declarations through the Pre-Arrival Immigration Declaration System (PAI) at:

🔹 Follow regulations and instructions at immigration checkpoints

* Present your passport, visa, and related documents when requested by immigration officers.
* Cooperate with immigration authorities during the entry process.
* Strictly follow security and public order regulations in border checkpoint areas.

🔹 Check your temporary stay validity after entry

* After completing immigration procedures, foreign nationals are responsible for checking the duration of temporary stay granted by the competent authorities.
* If you wish to remain in Vietnam longer, you must complete procedures for temporary stay extension, visa renewal/change, temporary residence card application, or other related formalities before your permitted stay expires.

🔹 Register temporary residence as required

* Foreign nationals staying in Vietnam must have their temporary residence declared in accordance with the law.
* Accommodation providers, sponsoring organizations/individuals, or persons directly responsible for managing foreign nationals must submit the temporary residence declaration to the police within the required timeframe.
* Online temporary residence registration for foreigners can be completed at:

🔹 Engage only in activities consistent with your entry purpose

* Foreign nationals may only carry out activities that match the purpose of entry they registered for.
* If working in Vietnam, you must have a valid work permit or other legal authorization as required under Vietnamese law.

⚠️ Foreign nationals are encouraged to proactively learn about and strictly comply with Vietnam’s laws on immigration, entry, exit, and residence to protect their legal rights and interests during their stay in Vietnam.
