As is widely repeated, the happiest days of owning a boat are the day you buy it and the day you sell it.

We are happy to report that after 6 years, several business moves and models, more laughs than we can count, memories that will last forever and of course, a couple of snapped lazy jack lines .... we have sold Tortuga!

Our understanding is that the new owner will charter Tortuga in BVI so out of respect for the new business and we'll be closing this FB page in the next week or so to preserve our memories, avoid confusion and allow them the freedom to create their own vision and vibe.

Thank you to all who traveled with us thru USVI, BVI and even down island to Grenada. It's been an incredible experience to learn the islands and get to know the people and places that make the Virgin Islands special.

Thank you to TMM, Charter Caribe and BVI Yacht Charters for taking such great care of us and Tortuga over the last 6 years and we look forward to future BVI trips as regular charter guests.

Has anyone moored at Peter Island that would be willing to DM and let me pick their brain? Thinking about options for a March visit. I've contacted the resort and they've been very nice but still have "boat questions" like:

General conditions in White Bay. With East winds it would look protected but I've seen comments that it is not.
Can you get to the top of the hill for sunset from there?
Their info says access to White Bay is hotel guests only. Can't imagine mooring with no beach access? (I know all beaches are public up to the high water line)

If in Deadman's Bay, their info says Deadmans and the beach club are hotel guests only. Seems to take some of the fun out of mooring there wouldn't it?

Years ago we'd walk over from Great Harbour but I understand they block that off now. True?

Has anyone moored there that could fill me in on what you can and can't do? TIA!
