UPDATE: The Virgin Islands Shipping Registry would like to provide an update regarding the US Coast Guard notice posted on 8th February 2022.

Please be guided by the following updated information:

US Vessels holding CVLA Code Safety certificates will be recognised by VISR as having valid safety certificates issued by their flag.

BVI vessels can carry 12 passengers into US waters once they hold a Code Certificate issued by VISR.
