Ebarb Waterworks District We aim to provide clean & safe water in abundant supply to customers at the lowest cost possible. Average daily water usage is about 300,000 gallons.

Ebarb Waterworks District provides an abundant supply of water for our residents, businesses and industries. The water supply for Ebarb Waterworks District includes water purchased from Sabine Parish Waterworks and Belmont Waterworks, as well as the operation and maintenance of our own two wells, four booster stations, five ground storage tanks, and one elevated tower. Disinfection treatment is pr

ovided at each pumping station by the addition of chlorine. Water samples are collected and tested daily, and the results are transmitted to the Louisiana Department of Health monthly. The water distribution system consists of a network of over 300 miles of water mains. Activities such as repairing water mains and services, and maintaining valves and hydrants are necessary to support the distribution system. Customer service activities include responding to low water pressure complaints, flushing lines, installing new water meters, disconnects, reconnects, and shutting off water to allow for plumbing repairs, etc. Emergency maintenance service is provided 24/7. Twice monthly water meter readings are recorded from over 3,100 meters. The consumption recorded on the water meters is used to establish water rates and charges for our customers.

It is with a heavy heart we acknowledge the passing of our Board President Pm Woods. He was an upright leader and a great human being. He will be missed for his goodness in life. We are deeply saddened to receive the news of this loss. We hope that his family is surrounded by love and will cherish the memories made by his side, for they will give you the strength to carry on. A gentle reminder folks:
Insulate/Wrap your pipes Before the freezing weather gets here and we can avoid most of the leaks and broken pipes before they occur. The last really hard freeze that came through put everyone out of water, not because of leaks or frozen pipes, but because so many people were running their water constantly for days and it ran our tanks out faster than we could fill them back up. Insulating pipes makes wasting water like that unnecessary. If you absolutely must move your water during freezing temperatures, a Small DRIP will suffice, you DO NOT have to leave a stream running.
