Today my oldest girl turns four.

The girl who made me a mom. The girl who made our family what it is. The girl with the biggest imagination, the sweetest heart, and a personality that can light up an entire room.

She keeps us laughing, keeps us on our toes, and makes every day a little more fun.

Four years ago, I had no idea how much joy one tiny person could bring into our lives.

When most people think about newborn photos, they think about the final gallery.

But one of my favorite parts of what I do is everything that happens before those images are ever delivered.

The outfit guidance when you’re wondering what everyone should wear. The newborn wraps and outfits ready to go. The feeding breaks. The books and silly stories with older siblings while baby needs a little extra attention. The homemade French macarons waiting for you after the session.

As a mom myself, I know how overwhelming those first few weeks can feel. My goal has always been to create an experience that feels relaxed, supportive, and easy from start to finish.

Beautiful photos are important. But I also want you to feel cared for along the way.

Consider this your reminder to plan a family date night this summer.

Bring the kids, let them run, explore a new spot, cuddle your babies, play games, tell silly jokes, and simply enjoy being together. My sessions are intentionally relaxed and child-led, so there’s no pressure for anyone to sit still or smile at the camera the entire time.

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s creating space to slow down, have fun together, and make memories while someone else documents it all.

I’ll take care of the photos. You just focus on your family.

A little reintroduction because there are quite a few new faces here lately 🤍

I’m Kyra (key-ra)!

I’m a mom to two toddler girls, a former macaron baker turned photographer, and someone who wholeheartedly believes photos should feel like memories, not just poses. My sessions are relaxed, playful, and focused on the real connection between your family.

You’ll usually find me chasing good lighting, embracing the chaos that comes with little ones, and documenting your family in a way that feels natural, connected, and true to this season of life 🤍

My sessions are rarely super posed or perfectly still. We’re usually running around, playing games, cuddling babies, chasing toddlers, and just letting everyone settle into the moment together. I truly want your session to feel fun and easy, not stressful.

I’m so grateful to get to document so many growing families around the Triangle, and it truly means the world to have you here following along.
