Immediate job opening:

Garbage Truck - Helper/Thrower:

Job Description: A thrower is teamed up with a driver and will be responsible for a trash & recycling route. A thrower is responsible for emptying the totes or containers into the hopper of the truck and placing the containers back in a neat and orderly fashion.

Work Details:
- Monday – Friday, early am start time. Part time to start
- Working safe while completing the assigned route for the day is a priority.
- Be prepared to work in all weather conditions
- This is a physical position, the ability to lift 40 lbs is a must.
- Own transportation to & from work location is a must. Work location is: 9169 NY-7, Worcester
- Applicant must be reliable; this is a permanent job with potential for growth.

Snow update: if you are normally a Monday pick up, please plan to have your trash picked up tomorrow, Tuesday 1-27. All other days should plan to have a normal pick up. Any questions please call the office, 607-397-4104

Few things to remember:
- Safety of our staff and you is important. If you can not safely put your trash out for this week, putting it all out for next week is fine. Set extra bags next to the can if needed

- Garbage cans should be clear of snow, on top of and around them.

- If you have a dumpster or a back door stop, all driveways and or roadways to the trash should be plowed and easily accessible.

Update for Monday 1/26/26:
If trucks go out, they will start late. Most all of our routes will be delayed a day, but please try to get garbage out like normal just in case your route starts late tomorrow. Routes, today and tomorrow - most thursday pick ups are being done today, Friday pick ups will be done tomorrow.

With the impending weather, if you live in Otsego or Delaware County & have a normal pick up on Fridays, we are still planning on picking up tomorrow (Saturday, 12-27). There would be no additional charges if you can not get garbage to the road / or choose to hold the garbage over until next weeks pick up.
