Events like these help young people discover new career paths, build confidence, and connect with opportunities that can shape their futures.

At WayGo, we believe transportation is about more than getting from one place to another - it's about helping people access education, employment, and experiences that make a difference.

Meet Your WayGo Team!

The people behind WayGo are more than just employees - we're your neighbors, friends, and fellow members of the Wooster community. Over the coming weeks, we'll introduce you to the team members who help keep WayGo moving every day. First up is our Operations Supervisor, Kelly Dinger!

I started with WayGo on July 30th of last year as a shuttle driver. Before this position, I had spent several years trying different jobs in search of one that I could physically handle. Due to some health issues, I could no longer work on my feet for long periods of time. Friends and family suggested that I might have to file for disability. At 53 years old, I wasn't ready to give up. I've always been a worker, and I'm too stubborn to settle for something I knew I wasn't ready for.

I can honestly say that WayGo saved me. When this position was offered to me, it was the answer to many prayers from me, my mother, and other family members who only wanted the best for me. I was so grateful for the opportunity that I jumped in with both feet, working a lot of overtime and getting to know our riders, which is still my favorite part of the job. I worked hard, loved my job, and it didn't go unnoticed. Around New Year's, I was promoted to Operations Supervisor.

Because this is a position I've never held before, it challenges me every day in ways I could never have predicted. With each passing day, I learn more about becoming a better leader, improving my time management skills, communicating more effectively with others, and multitasking. I work very hard to prove that I earned this promotion, and I never take this opportunity for granted.

When I'm not at work, I'm at home spending time with my two dogs. I have a 7-year-old Cane Corso named Briley. She is a big sister and somewhat of a mama to my sweet little boy, Sammy. He is a Mini Australian Shepherd and will turn 2 on the Fourth of July. They take up a lot of my time and energy. I also travel to Florida whenever I get a few days off to visit my mom and sisters. I don't have any other family left in Ohio, but I'm not quite ready to relocate to a state with a much warmer and more humid climate, no matter how much I love and miss my family.

As for hobbies, I love building or creating something new. At any given time, someone could walk into my little two-bedroom house and find a room under construction or a project I'm building out of wood, usually reclaimed pallet wood. For example, I completely framed and screened in my front porch and built the loveseat and chair that sit on it. I jokingly tell people that I'm a pretty handy gal to have around.

I also dream of traveling someday. I've always wanted to see Venice, Italy, in person. A city completely surrounded by water is something that pictures and movies simply can't fully capture. I would love the chance to experience it for myself.

Understanding Your WayGo Pickup Window

We love getting you where you need to go safely, reliably, and on time! Because WayGo is a shared-ride, demand response transit service, our smart system coordinates routes to pick up neighbors heading in the same direction.

To make this work smoothly for everyone, we use a 30-minute pickup window instead of an exact, single minute appointment.

Here is how it works:

The Shared-Ride Puzzle - When you book a ride for a target time (say, 8:15 AM), our system looks at traffic, road conditions, and other riders nearby. It then creates your customized 30-minute window (for example, 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM).

Be Ready at the Start - Always be ready to board at the very beginning of your window! Your bus can safely arrive at any point during that 30-minute timeframe.

The 5-Minute Rule - To keep the system fair and on time for the next passenger down the road, our drivers can only wait 5 minutes after arriving within your window before they have to move on.

Think of it like a traditional bus route, just brought directly to your neighborhood! By being ready at the start of your window, you help keep all of Wooster moving on schedule.

🗓️ Holiday Service Notice:

In observance of the holiday, WayGo will be closed on Monday, May 25th.

Our regular hours (6:00 AM – 7:00 PM) for Demand Response and (7:00 AM – 8:00 PM) Fixed Route will resume on Tuesday, May 26th. If you need to schedule rides for later in the week, feel free to give us a call ahead of time or use the app.

This Memorial Day, the team at WayGo pauses to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We are profoundly grateful for their dedication and selflessness. The WayGo team travels across Wayne County, frequently moving along US Route 250. But this stretch of asphalt isn’t just a busy roadway, it is officially designated as Ohio's Military Frontier Highway.

This Memorial Day, we pause to reflect on the true meaning of the highway's name. We honor and remember the brave service members from our community and across the nation who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom. Their legacy is woven into the very fabric of the roads we travel.
