We want to thank you for being a loyal customer. In the last 11 years, we have learned that the best part of this business is YOU. Unfortunately, given the toll that the pandemic began taking on the business in March of 2020, the labor shortage, the immense increase in fuel cost and countless other items, we have made the decision to close EconoRides Shuttle Services.
Since Covid hit, we have fought to rectify this situation with much prayer, professional consultation, and personal action. We have been reduced from 15 drivers to 4. With dozens of interviews, we have had no luck in finding drivers that will maintain the legacy of service that we expect for your safety and convenience.
The rate of travel the last 2 years alone has been roughly 47% to 53% of what existed before Covid. This matches the weekly reports that we receive directly from Hartsfield Jackson Airport as well. Fewer flights with overly packed planes do not make for a good shuttle business.
As a family run business, we fully understand the impact this has on you, your family, and your travel. This is not a decision that was made without 2 grueling years of financial pain, emotion, and dismay. We have sought guidance from many business experts and others that have a vested interest in maintaining and growing our services. We simply can’t buy more great customers or more reliable staff.
We have had personal conversations with many of you and I am grateful for your loyalty, your compliments, and prayers for our struggles over this time. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your business and your support. Our last day of service will be this Friday, July 1. If you have reservations in the future, we will be contacting you with a full refund.
