Taxiway Alpha between A5 and A6 will be closed for the next 24 hours for fire fighting helicopters fighting the fire above Farmington.

The Skypark airport runway and associated taxiways were successfully repaired, recoated and restriped in late June/ early July. As part of this work, the paint markings must be reapplied after 30 days. The reason being the paint had to be applied directly over the fresh new slurry, which causes the paint to fade. Therefore, the planned restriping will take place as follows:

Airport Closure begins: 7 AM on Wednesday, August 7th.



Airport reopens: 7 PM on Wednesday, August 7th.



This work will require the Runway and its Taxiways remain clear of all aircraft, vehicular, bicycle and foot traffic during the process.

While this closure will not effect helicopter operation, helicopter operators are requested to stay away from runways and taxiways and requested to use communications.

Dear Skypark Airport Users, It is time to have maintenance performed on our runway and connected taxiways. This work will require the Runway and its Taxiways remain clear of all aircraft, vehicular, bicycle and foot traffic during the process.

Airport Closure begins: 5 AM on Friday, June 28th.
Airport reopens: 5 AM on Thursday, July 4th.
