2011 Business Plan Competition Mayor John E McCormac and Woodbridge Township are conducting a business plan competition for companies developing and marketing innovative green products and services The winning companies will receive cash prizes and business development services through the new Woodbridge Green Business and Technology Center (GBTC) (www.gbtcnj.com). The GBTC business incubation and
acceleration program is an integral part of the Green Technology Park, which is designed to be the hub of an emerging green industry cluster in Woodbridge, NJ. The business plan competition is open to companies engaged in a broad range of green business activities including:
- Air
-Water and Waste Energy efficiency
-Green building
-Renewable energy and materials
-Smart power
-Transportation
-Recycling
Competitors can either be companies or individuals and must agree to use the prize package to establish or continue their business operations in Woodbridge Township. Competitors under the age of 18 may be eligible for a special cash award from the Mayor John E McCormac Charity fund. To enter the competition, applicants must complete the application form in full and submit it to the Woodbridge Redevelopment Agency, Woodbridge Township, Woodbridge, NJ, 07095, clearly marked ‘Business Plan Competition’. At the judges discretion, any applications that not considered to be complete may be removed from consideration. The deadline for applications is February 11, 2012 and finalists will be announced on or before March 1, 2012. The selected finalists will make presentations to a panel of judges no later than March 31, 2012, when the judges will select the competition winners.
